In order to win the award for “Best Learning & Development Company” SD Worx submitted its project with the City of Antwerp. Together with the City of Antwerp SD Worx examined which organizational changes would be possible to function better and to serve the citizen better. Colleagues, managers and citizens should all stand to benefit here. The climate of dissatisfaction among personnel and clients also had to be dispelled and improved.
SD Worx analyzed the processes and introduced, by various learning processes, a culture of trust, openness and responsibility. The focus gradually evolved from external advice and guidance mainly for managers to providing tools for all the colleagues to trigger changes themselves. The change process was thus carried internally on a broad basis and each employee learnt how he/she might be able to develop further in the future. Not only do they benefit from this personally, it also helps in the development of the team and, consequently, the whole organization. The result exceeds the expectations among colleagues, managers and citizens alike. The number of complaints to the ombudswoman, for example, fell by a good forty percent.
“We are of course delighted with this fine award. It is an objective confirmation that we are an innovative company with a high-quality range. It is our ambition to help to ensure that our clients show better results. Here we can count on user-friendly tools, tried and tested methods, a leading knowledge centre and specialist staff who do their utmost to book best results”, says Steven Van Hoorebeke, CEO of SD Worx.
Besides the HR Excellence Award for Best Learning and Development Company, SD Worx also won the HR Community Prize. This special Jury Award is presented to the candidate receiving the most votes from the HR Community. This is now the third year that SD Worx goes home with this trophy.
