Targets

During this two-day training course, you will:

  • map the key roles of the manager
  • be given the opportunity to gain insight into your individual leadership style, pitfalls and qualities
  • acquire techniques and tools that you can use to turn yourself into an effective coach for your team
  • train a number of important basic skills
  • make a first start with establishing a personal development plan

Target group

This training program is for you, if you:

  • are a newly appointed or future line manager who is looking for a sound basis
  • are a more experienced line manager, who has received little or no formal management training and is now looking for the requisite foundations
  • wish to gain a better insight in your role(s) as a manager, and are looking for some concrete techniques or tips
  • wish to acquire the requisite practical skills and core insights to make you more self-confident in managing your team

Globalization has made borders irrelevant. As such, for this training program, we consider language to be a mere vehicle. The training program will be delivered in Euro-English and is open to participants of all nationalities.

  • What are the key leadership skills?
  • How do you evaluate your own leadership style?
  • How do you decide where you want to go with your team and your department?
  • How do you adequately explain your goals and responsibilities to your team?
  • What is efficient and goal-oriented communication?
  • How do you discover what your team’s concerns are, and which are the listening skills that you can use?
  • What opportunities are there to better plan and manage your time? 
  • What is situational leadership?
  • How can you direct your team and reach the desired result in an efficient manner? 
  • How can you motivate your team?
  • How do you deal with change and resistance?
  • How do you frame an action plan to improve your leadership effectiveness?
